Ray Ashton & Associates (RA & A Limited) Thermographic Surveys

RA & A Limited is an international specialist company’s that offer highly competent Marine and Non-Marine Surveys to their Clients. Both company’s are owned and operated by Ray Ashton.

As part of our continued development we offer a new service in the form of image surveys utilising state of the art thermographic equipment which saves time, disruption and expense. The equipment has, until recent years, only been available to the Military and Government agencies. We are one of the few surveying companies in Europe to offer surveys using this innovative and unique state of the art thermographic infrared equipment.

Our highly experienced operatives Ray and Amanda Ashton have received extensive specialist training in the use of the thermographic equipment directly from the suppliers and through a weeks residential level 1 Infrared training course held in the UK, qualifying them in the use of the equipment and the identification of faults.

Ray Ashton & Associates was established in 1993 in Greece as a marine surveying operation, initially specialising in the assessment of claims arising from pleasure craft and with a particular emphasis on investigation work for insurance companies. Over the years the company has grown and now takes on most types of marine surveying and marine and non-marine investigations.

From commencement in Greece, Ray Ashton & Associates has expanded its base of operations to Spain where the company headquarters is located. The business includes full time staff and offices in Greece as well as extensive associations throughout the Caribbean. In addition it has associations with various other companies around the World which means that a comprehensive spectrum of services can be offered across a wide range of locations.

History of Expertise

Ray Ashton & Associates places great emphasis on training and expertise in order to provide the best possible service to its clients, which is particularly important when dealing with the complex situations that inevitably arise when assessing damages on large pleasure craft. Training is carried out on the job and by regular attendance of courses and seminars on the latest techniques and innovations, which are attended by all staff around the world.
